Boat Rental Policies:
1. Rental Requirements
To confirm your reservation, full payment via credit card is required at the time of booking. This guarantees your rental and secures your booking. If you need to cancel, please review our Cancellation Policy below.

2. Pricing Information
All rental prices are listed before applicable taxes. Taxes will be calculated at checkout based on local rates.
3. Fuel Policy
To ensure a smooth return process, all rentals must be returned with a full tank of fuel. If the rental is returned without a full tank, a $25 convenience fee will be applied, along with a fuel charge of $6.50 per gallon.

4. Late Return Fees
To maintain timely access for all customers, we enforce late return fees:
- Pontoon Rentals: $75 for every 15 minutes past the scheduled return time.
- Fishing Boat Rentals: $25 for every 15 minutes past the scheduled return time.
Late returns impact other customers' bookings, so please plan accordingly to avoid additional charges.
5. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans may change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Daily Rentals: Cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund.
- Weekly Rentals: Cancel with at least 7 days’ notice for a full refund.

6. Damage & Cleanliness Policy
Rentals must be returned in the same condition as they were rented. Charges may apply for:
- Damages: Any damage to the boat, motor, or equipment.
- Excessive Cleaning: If the boat is returned with significant dirt, mud, trash, or spills beyond normal use.
- No pets allowed: --
- No smoking
- No grills
We recommend inspecting your rental upon pickup and reporting any pre-existing damage to avoid any potential charges.
7. Safety & Compliance
All renters must follow local boating laws and safety regulations. Life jackets and safety equipment are provided with every rental. It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that all passengers wear life jackets as required by law.
8. Weather Policy
If inclement weather (such as strong winds, thunderstorms, or hazardous conditions) prevents safe boating, you may reschedule or cancel for a full refund with at least 24 hours’ notice.
We reserve the right to delay, reschedule, or cancel rentals in the event of unsafe weather conditions.
9. Acceptance of Terms

E Bike Rental Policies:
While Wisconsin law does not require riders to wear a helmet when operating an electric bicycle, The Beacons of Minocqua strongly recommends wearing a helmet at all times. Helmets are available for use upon request.
2. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that riding an electric bicycle involves inherent risks, which cannot be entirely eliminated, regardless of the level of care taken. These risks include, but are not limited to:
- Bruises, scrapes, and minor injuries
- Broken bones or more severe injuries
- Collisions with objects, vehicles, or pedestrians
By signing this agreement, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with renting and riding the electric bike, including those for any minors under my care.
3. Rider Conduct & Responsibilities
I agree to:
- Operate the electric bicycle in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ride responsibly and with caution to ensure the safety of myself and others.
- Refrain from performing stunts, tricks, or reckless riding.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in the termination of my rental without a refund.
4. Bicycle Return Policy
I agree to return the electric bicycle in the same condition as received, except for normal wear and tear, at the specified time and location designated by The Beacons of Minocqua.
Failure to return the bicycle on time may result in additional fees.
5. Liability for Damage, Theft, or Loss
I acknowledge that I am responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of the electric bicycle, regardless of fault. Specifically:
- I agree to pay for any repairs required due to damage beyond ordinary wear and tear.
- If the bicycle is lost or stolen, I am responsible for its replacement at fair market value, minus any applicable salvage value.
- I will be held liable for all losses due to theft or vandalism, even if I was not directly responsible for the incident.
6. Release of Liability & Indemnification
In consideration of being allowed to rent and ride a Pedego electric bicycle, I release, waive, and discharge The Beacons of Minocqua from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my participation in this activity.
Additionally, I agree to indemnify and hold The Beacons of Minocqua harmless from any third-party claims resulting from my use of the electric bicycle, including injuries, property damage, or legal disputes.
7. Age Requirement & Guardian Consent
- You must be at least 16 years of age to rent and operate a Pedego electric bicycle.
- If the rider is under 18 years old, a legal guardian must sign this agreement, assuming full responsibility for the minor’s actions and any associated liabilities.
8. Acknowledgment & Signature
By signing below, I acknowledge that:
- I have carefully read and understood this agreement.
- I voluntarily accept the terms and conditions outlined above.
- I am aware that this is a legally binding release of liability.
Kayak and Canoe Rental Policies:
Rental Responsibility Agreement
The renter is fully responsible for any damage that occurs to the rented watercraft while it is in the renters possession. Additionally, the renter agrees to return all listed equipment in the same condition in which it was received. In the event of loss or damage to any items, the renter understands that they are liable for the associated repair or replacement costs.
